3. Spiced Carrot & Lentil Soup Recipe to Boost Hair Health

Ingredients

• X2 tablespoon of cumin seeds
• Carrots (washed and coarsely grated)
• Split red lentils
• Cube of vegetable stock
• Chilli flakes (optional, if you prefer the non-spicy version)
• Plain Yoghurt

Method

1. Heat a large saucepan and dry fry cumin seeds and chilli flakes. Fry them for 1 min to release their flavour and aroma.
2. Scoop out half the contents of spices and set aside.
3. Add olive oil to the pan before adding the grated carrots and split lentils and fry for at least 3 minutes before adding the vegetable stock.
4. Bring it to a boil, and then let it simmer for 15 mins until the lentils have swollen and soften. Then set aside.
5. Then pour the soup into a blender and then blend it until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.
6. Pour the contents back into the pot and add a dollop of yoghurt and the remaining spices.
7. You can then season to taste.
